Family Dispute Resolution
FDR Family Mediation
Talking Forward helps parents in the process of separation to reach agreement for the care of the children and the division of the assets:
Creation of a Parenting Plan: agreement between parents regarding any aspect of parenting. For example, living arrangements, education, holidays or communication between parents.
Creation of a Financial Agreement
Temporary parenting and financial arrangements for the post-separation period and until a final agreement is reached.
This is a child-focused process which means that the best interest of the child/ren are the paramount consideration of any decisions that affect the child/ren. The mediator’s role is to facilitate the process of mediation and to assist the parties in their journey to reach a consensus. The mediator will be impartial and neutral in all contacts with the parties and will not provide legal advice or make any decisions.
This is a service for people who are contemplating separation but do not know where to start or how to navigate the system. We help you to anticipate and recognise the emotional, legal and financial impact of separation and to identify measures to reduce this impact.
Separation does not normally end your relationship as parents. In fact, it is during separation when you will be taking important parenting decisions for the short and long term. This service provides assistance to parents who would like to work on having an 'amicable' separation for the best interests of the children.
In this service, I use my experience as both family mediator and family therapist to accompany you in this journey and help you with the preparation for the separation process. I can help you to transition into your new relationship as parents and to discuss the basis for a future parenting and financial agreements.
This service does not involve the provision of legal advice or of family mediation. If you are interested in Family dispute resolution, please see that service above.
